Ingredients
  

For the Salmon Patties
  • 1 lb salmon fillets, skin removed Ensure the salmon is freshest for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs Crushed crackers or panko can be used as substitutes.
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 count green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For the Sriracha Slaw
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
For Assembly
  • 4 pieces Burger buns
  • as needed Lettuce leaves For serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the grill or a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, finely chop the salmon and combine it with breadcrumbs, egg, green onions, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into patties.
Cooking
  1. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
Making the Slaw
  1. In another bowl, mix shredded cabbage, mayonnaise, sriracha, and a pinch of salt to make the slaw.
Assembly
  1. Assemble the burgers by placing each salmon patty on a bun, topped with lettuce and sriracha slaw.
  2. Serve immediately.

Notes

These burgers are best served hot off the grill or skillet. Can be paired with sweet potato fries or a fresh green salad. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
