Ingredients
  

For the Salmon Patties
  • 1 pound fresh salmon fillets Use firm and fresh salmon for best results.
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise Can be substituted with yogurt for a lighter option.
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice For added flavor, consider marinating the salmon in lemon juice and herbs.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
For the Sriracha Slaw
  • 1 cup cabbage, shredded
  • 1/4 cup carrots, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce Amount can be adjusted based on spice preference.
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
For Serving
  • Burger buns Choose your favorite type of buns.
  • Lettuce For topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine the salmon fillets, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and form into burger patties.
Cooking
  1. Cook the salmon patties on the grill or skillet for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the cabbage, carrots, Sriracha sauce, and rice vinegar to make the slaw.
Assembly
  1. Assemble burgers by placing the salmon patties on buns and topping with Sriracha slaw and lettuce. Serve immediately.

Notes

These salmon burgers can be enjoyed with sweet potato fries or a fresh side salad. For a low-carb option, wrap the burgers in lettuce leaves instead of buns.
