Preparation of Mashed Potatoes
- Peel and cut the potatoes into chunks, then boil them in salted water until tender (about 15-20 minutes). Drain and mash with milk, butter, salt, and pepper until smooth.
Cooking the Sausages
- In a pan over medium heat, cook the beef sausages until browned and cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
Making the Onion Gravy
- Remove the sausages from the pan and set aside. In the same pan, add sliced onions and sauté until soft and caramelized (about 8-10 minutes).
- Once the onions are caramelized, sprinkle flour over them. Stir well and gradually add the beef broth, stirring continuously. Cook until thickened (about 5 minutes).
Serving
- Serve the sausages on a bed of creamy mashed potatoes and drizzle with warm onion gravy.
Notes
