Ingredients
  

For the Chicken Patties
  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro Fresh for best flavor
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce Can substitute with soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 pieces burger buns Soft, suitable for grilling
For the Ginger Slaw
  • 1 cup coleslaw mix
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger Use fresh ginger for best results
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Freshly squeezed lime is recommended
  • to taste Salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix ground chicken, cilantro, garlic, fish sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper. Shape the mixture into patties.
Cooking
  1. Grill or pan-fry the chicken patties until cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
Making the Slaw
  1. In another bowl, combine coleslaw mix, grated ginger, mayonnaise, lime juice, and salt to create the ginger slaw. Toss well to combine.
Serving
  1. Serve the chicken patties on burger buns topped generously with the ginger slaw.

Notes

Store leftover chicken patties and ginger slaw separately in airtight containers. Chicken patties last about 3-4 days in the refrigerator, and slaw remains good for 2-3 days.
