Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup cherry puree (fresh or canned)
Optional Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh cherries Optional for added texture and flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and cherry puree until smooth.
  2. If using fresh cherries, gently fold them into the mixture.
Churning
  1. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn for about 25 minutes, or until it thickens to a soft-serve consistency.
Freezing
  1. Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container, smooth the top, and freeze for at least 4 hours.

Notes

For best results, ensure your ice cream maker is well-chilled before use. Let the ice cream sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
