Preparation
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in half of the whipped topping and set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk and chocolate pudding mix for about 2 minutes. Let it sit for a few minutes to thicken.
Assembly
- In a rectangular dish, layer a third of the chocolate graham crackers in the bottom.
- Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the graham crackers.
- Add half of the chocolate pudding mixture on top.
- Spread another layer of whipped topping over the pudding.
- Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped topping.
- Top with chocolate shavings or chips.
Chilling
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- Slice and serve cold.
Notes
This dessert can be adapted for gluten-free diets by using gluten-free chocolate graham crackers. It is also best made a day in advance for improved flavor.
