Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Divide the dough into two giant mounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the edges are golden while the centers remain soft.
  2. Let cool before serving.

Notes

These cookies can be served warm with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce. Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
