Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Divide the dough into two giant mounds on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the edges are golden while the centers remain soft.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
These cookies can be served warm with vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce. Store in an airtight container for up to a week, or freeze for up to three months.
