Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice Can substitute with lime or orange juice.
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda or sparkling water Add just before serving for fizz.
  • Strawberry slices and lemon wheels, for garnish
  • Mint leaves (optional), for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Add the fresh strawberries to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. If you prefer a smoother consistency, strain through a fine mesh sieve to remove any seeds.
  2. Stir in the granulated sugar until fully dissolved. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
  3. Pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and cold water. Stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  4. Chill the mixture in the fridge for at least 1 hour to enhance the flavors.
  5. Just before serving, add lemon-lime soda or sparkling water to the punch.
  6. Fill glasses with ice, then pour the punch over the ice. Garnish with strawberry slices, lemon wheels, and mint leaves, if desired.
  7. For an adult version, add a splash of vodka, rum, or prosecco just before serving for an extra kick.

Notes

To store, keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For less fizz, use still water instead of soda.
