Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces Use either breast or thighs based on preference.
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch Coat chicken for a sticky, crispy texture.
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil For frying the chicken.
For the Sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes Optional for heat.
For the Noodles and Garnish
  • 8 oz noodles (rice noodles or egg noodles) Cook according to package instructions.
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red chili flakes thoroughly to form a flavorful sauce.
  2. Toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Warm the vegetable oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the coated chicken and cook for about 6 to 8 minutes until golden brown and fully cooked.
  3. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir to coat. Let it simmer for 2 to 3 minutes until it thickens.
  4. Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to package instructions, drain and set aside.
  5. Add the cooked noodles to the skillet with the chicken and toss until coated.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

Serve hot. Pairs well with steamed vegetables and can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
