Ingredients
  

For the rice base
  • 2 cups sushi rice Use short grain rice for a sticky texture.
  • 2.5 cups water For cooking the sushi rice.
For the salmon topping
  • 1 lb salmon, cooked and flaked Can use leftover or canned salmon.
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Creamy base for the topping.
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha Adjust according to heat preference.
  • 4 pieces green onions, chopped Use fresh for better flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Adds umami flavor.
For assembly and serving
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into strips For garnish.
  • 1 piece avocado, sliced For garnish.
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water and then cook it with the water according to package instructions.
Mixing
  1. In a bowl, mix the cooked salmon with mayonnaise, sriracha, green onions, and soy sauce.
Assembly
  1. Once the rice is cooked, spread it evenly in a baking dish.
  2. Layer the salmon mixture on top of the rice.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until heated through.
  2. Remove from the oven and garnish with nori strips, avocado slices, and sesame seeds.
  3. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

Serve with pickled ginger, wasabi, and extra nori strips on the side. Pairs well with a fresh cucumber salad or soy sauce dip.
