For the steak
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
For the salad
  • 1 head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup corn (fresh or canned)
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Rub flank steak with olive oil, salt, pepper, chili powder, and cumin.
  3. Grill the steak for about 5-6 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
  4. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes before slicing thinly against the grain.
Assembly
  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped romaine, cherry tomatoes, corn, red bell pepper, avocado, and red onion.
  2. Top the salad with the sliced steak and garnish with fresh cilantro.
  3. Serve with lime wedges and enjoy your meal!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the flank steak for a few hours or overnight before grilling. Fresh vegetables will enhance the taste and texture of your salad. Toss with dressing just before serving to keep your salad crisp.
