  • 1 loaf sourdough bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Use high-quality butter for best flavor.
  • 4-6 cloves garlic, minced Adjust according to taste.
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped Fresh herbs enhance flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional) Add for extra cheesy flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  3. Slice the sourdough bread in half lengthwise.
  4. Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
  5. If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top.
Baking
  1. Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
  2. Slice and serve warm. Enjoy!

Notes

Serve warm as a side for soups or pasta. Store leftovers wrapped in foil or plastic in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
