Platter Ingredients
  • 8 oz Smoked trout Choose high-quality smoked trout for best flavor.
  • 1 bag Mixed greens (such as arugula, spinach, or lettuce)
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 medium Cucumber, sliced
  • 1 small Red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp Capers
  • 2 each Lemon wedges For serving.
For the Dressing
  • 3 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Sumac Can substitute with lemon zest.
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Arrange the mixed greens on a large platter.
  2. Top with slices of smoked trout, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, and capers.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, sumac, salt, and pepper to create the dressing.
  4. Drizzle the dressing over the platter.
  5. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store each component separately in airtight containers. Consume smoked trout quickly as it has a shorter shelf life compared to cooked fish. Consider pairing it with warm, crusty bread or fresh juices.
