Preparation
  1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and chicken broth to the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook until the broccoli is tender, about 5 minutes.
  5. Reduce heat to low and stir in the cooked pasta and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve warm.
