Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb smoked brisket, chopped
  • 1 cup beer cheese sauce
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 ea egg, beaten for brushing
  • to taste coarse sea salt, for topping
  • to taste mustard or dipping sauce, optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into squares.
  3. Place a spoonful of smoked brisket and a spoonful of beer cheese sauce in the center of each square.
  4. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  5. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm with mustard or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Chill the filled pretzels before baking to help them hold their shape. Using a pizza cutter makes cutting the dough squares easier. Enhance the filling flavor with spices or jalapeños.
