Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp
  • 1 pound large shrimp Use fresh shrimp for best flavor.
For the Lemon Garlic Sauce
  • 1 lemon Juice will be used.
  • 2 cloves garlic Minced.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving
  • 1/4 cup cocktail sauce On the side for dipping.

Method
 

Preparation and Cooking
  1. Boil water in a large pot and add the shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and opaque.
  2. Remove the shrimp and place them in ice water to stop the cooking process.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a bowl, mix together the juice of one lemon, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper to make the sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve the shrimp chilled with the lemon garlic sauce and cocktail sauce on the side.

Notes

If using frozen shrimp, allow them to thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Adjust garlic and lemon in the sauce according to your taste preferences.
