Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts Bone-in chicken will add more flavor.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Using broth instead of water adds flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Optional Ingredients
  • BBQ sauce or taco seasoning Add for flavor variation.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Place the chicken breasts in a slow cooker and pour in the chicken broth.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper on top.
  3. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the chicken is fully cooked and shreds easily.
  4. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it with two forks.
  5. If desired, mix in BBQ sauce or taco seasoning after shredding.
Serving Suggestions
  1. Serve on a bun, in tacos, or over rice for a satisfying meal.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Cool completely before freezing and label with the date.
