Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper and place them in a baking dish.
- Spread the ricotta cheese evenly over the chicken breasts.
- Pour marinara sauce over the ricotta layer.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
- Drizzle a little olive oil over everything.
Cooking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil if desired and serve.
Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 15-20 minutes. Can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
