Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

- Beat in the egg, food coloring, and vanilla extract until everything is well incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Gently stir in the chocolate chips to the dough.
Baking
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced out evenly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Allow to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze cookies in a freezer-safe bag for up to three months.
