Ingredients
  

Fish Preparation
  • 2 fillets fish fillets (such as tilapia or cod)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • to taste salt and pepper
Cabbage Slaw & Wraps
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 lime lime (juiced)
  • to serve sour cream or yogurt (optional)
  • to serve salsa or hot sauce (optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, combine the olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture over the fish fillets.
Cooking
  1. Grill the fish for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through.
  2. While the fish is grilling, prepare the cabbage slaw by mixing the shredded cabbage, cilantro, lime juice, and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  3. Warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about a minute on each side.
  4. Once the fish is cooked, flake it into pieces.
Assembly
  1. Assemble the tacos by placing the fish on the tortillas and topping with the cabbage slaw.
  2. Serve with sour cream or yogurt and salsa or hot sauce if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, let the fish marinate for 30 minutes before grilling. You can also substitute shrimp or grilled chicken for the fish. Try using a mix of red and green cabbage for more color.
