Ingredients
  

For the Pastry
  • 2 sheets Puff pastry sheets
  • 1 cup Burrata cheese Can substitute with goat cheese or ricotta.
  • 1 cup Cranberries Can substitute with dried cranberries or other fruits.
For the Cranberry Glaze
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
For Assembly
  • 1 whole Egg wash (egg and water mixture) For brushing the pastry.
  • optional Fresh herbs For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into tree shapes using a template or knife.
  3. Place the tree shapes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Brush the pastry with egg wash for a golden finish.
Baking
  1. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and puffed.
  2. While the pastry cools, prepare the cranberry glaze by simmering cranberries, sugar, and water in a saucepan until the cranberries burst and the mixture thickens.
  3. Strain the glaze if desired.
Assembly
  1. Assemble by placing burrata cheese on top of the baked puff pastry trees and drizzling with cranberry glaze.
  2. Garnish with fresh herbs if using and serve warm.

Notes

Best served warm for optimal creaminess. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days.
