Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter Creamy or chunky as per preference
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk Can use homemade version, if desired
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
For the Strawberries
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced Toss with sugar before mixing

Method
 

Preparation of Strawberries
  1. Toss the sliced strawberries in a bowl with a tablespoon of sugar and let them sit for about 15 minutes to release their juices.
Mixing the Ice Cream Base
  1. In another bowl, combine peanut butter, heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Combining Flavors
  1. Gently fold the juicy strawberries into the peanut butter mixture.
Churning
  1. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  2. Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.

Notes

Let the ice cream soften for 5-10 minutes at room temperature for easier scooping. Keeps well in an airtight container in the freezer for 2-3 weeks.
