Preparation
- Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
- Combine the crushed Oreo cookies with the melted butter in a mixing bowl. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.
- Press the Oreo crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to create the crust.
- In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and sifted powdered sugar, mixing until well combined.
- Fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy. Spread this cream cheese mixture evenly over the Oreo crust in the baking dish.
- Whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and whole milk in another bowl until thickened. Pour the pudding layer over the cream cheese layer and spread to cover.
Chilling
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set. For best results, let it chill overnight.
Serving
- Before serving, garnish with extra crushed Oreo cookies or chocolate shavings.
