Ingredients

Crust
  • 24 cookies Oreo Cookies Use gluten-free if needed.
  • 1/2 cup Butter Melted, unsalted.
Filling
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Or almond extract for variation.
  • 1 cup Powdered Sugar Sift before adding.
  • 8 oz Whipped Topping Homemade for fresher taste is recommended.
  • 1 pkg Chocolate Instant Pudding Mix Can substitute with vanilla.
  • 2 cups Whole Milk Non-dairy milk is acceptable.

Method

Preparation
  1. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
  2. Combine the crushed Oreo cookies with the melted butter in a mixing bowl. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.
  3. Press the Oreo crumb mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish to create the crust.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and sifted powdered sugar, mixing until well combined.
  5. Fold in the whipped topping until the mixture is light and fluffy. Spread this cream cheese mixture evenly over the Oreo crust in the baking dish.
  6. Whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and whole milk in another bowl until thickened. Pour the pudding layer over the cream cheese layer and spread to cover.
Chilling
  1. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set. For best results, let it chill overnight.
Serving
  1. Before serving, garnish with extra crushed Oreo cookies or chocolate shavings.
