  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup orange juice Can be substituted with lemon juice.
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest For extra flavor.
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips Can be substituted with dark chocolate or butterscotch chips.
  • to taste powdered sugar for dusting Optional.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, vegetable oil, eggs, vanilla extract, orange juice, and orange zest until well mixed.
  3. Fold in the white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  4. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  3. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired, before serving.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. They can be frozen for up to three months. To enjoy, thaw at room temperature. Measure ingredients accurately for best results.
