Preparation
- Peel and mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until the sugar is dissolved.
- Stir in the mashed bananas and a pinch of salt until well combined.
Churning
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches soft-serve consistency.
Freezing
- Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm.
Serving
- Serve and enjoy in bowls or cones, optionally garnished with crushed nuts or chocolate sauce.
Notes
Store the ice cream in an airtight container. It can last in the freezer for about 1 to 2 weeks.
