Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add the baking soda and salt, mixing thoroughly until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Baking
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a fork, creating a crisscross pattern on top.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a special touch, serve warm with a cold glass of milk or create cookie sandwiches with ice cream.
