Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Add the baking soda and salt, mixing thoroughly until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
Baking
  1. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  2. Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a fork, creating a crisscross pattern on top.
  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  4. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
