  • 12 ounces Oven-ready lasagna noodles
  • 3 cups Rich meat sauce Use homemade or high-quality jarred sauce.
  • 15 ounces Ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese Shredded.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese Grated.
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until smooth and combined.
Assembly
  1. In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce across the bottom.
  2. Layer oven-ready noodles over the sauce, covering it completely.
  3. Spread a layer of the ricotta mixture followed by a generous amount of mozzarella cheese.
  4. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ensuring you finish with meat sauce on top and an extra sprinkle of mozzarella.
Baking
  1. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  2. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown on top.
  3. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving to allow the layers to set.

Notes

Serve hot with a side salad or garlic bread. For storage, cool completely, cover and refrigerate for up to 3-5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
