Ingredients
  

Cheese and Hot Dogs
  • 8 pieces String cheese or mozzarella sticks Cut in half to fit hot dogs.
  • 4 pieces Hot dogs Your choice of flavor.
  • 4 pieces Buns For serving.
Coating
  • 2 pieces Eggs Whisked with hot sauce.
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Mixed with salt and pepper.
  • 1 tablespoon Hot sauce Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 3 cups Vegetable oil For frying.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the mozzarella sticks in half to fit into the hot dogs.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and hot sauce.
  3. Prepare three separate bowls: one with flour, one with egg mixture, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with salt and pepper.
Coating and Frying
  1. Dip the cheese sticks first in flour, then in the egg mixture, and finally in the breadcrumbs, ensuring they are well coated.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  3. Fry the coated cheese sticks until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Assembly
  1. Insert the fried mozzarella sticks into hot dogs placed in buns to assemble. Serve immediately.

Notes

Serve with toppings and condiments like jalapeƱos, ranch dressing, mustard, or ketchup. Allow leftovers to cool completely and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
