Preparation
- Place the beef lil smokies into the bottom of a 3-quart to 6-quart slow cooker. Spread them out evenly.
- Sprinkle the dry ranch seasoning mix and the dry au jus gravy mix evenly over the sausages.
- Lay the slices of unsalted butter across the top of the seasoned sausages.
- Add the whole pepperoncini peppers on top and pour in the pepperoncini juice.
Cooking
- Cover the slow cooker with the lid. Cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours or on HIGH for 1 to 2 hours.
- Once the time is up, remove the lid and stir everything together so the melted butter and seasonings form a smooth sauce.
- Keep the slow cooker on the 'Warm' setting for serving. Provide toothpicks nearby for easy snacking.
Notes
These smoky sausages pair wonderfully with various dips and are perfect for self-serve at parties. For a twist, serve in slider buns.
