  • 4 slices Mini slices of bread (or trimmed regular slices) Use white, whole wheat, or sourdough bread.
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter, softened Creates a crispy golden crust.
  • 2 slices Cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or other melting cheese) Choose any cheese that melts well.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the bread into mini pieces and butter one side of each slice generously.
  3. Place a slice of cheese between two slices of bread, buttered side out.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the oven for about 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown and crispy.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them in a toaster oven or conventional oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes. To freeze, wrap each sandwich in plastic wrap and then foil; store in the freezer for up to a month.
