Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until fully combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips, mixing gently to distribute them evenly throughout the dough.
Baking
  1. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets, giving each cookie some space to spread.
  2. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden, and the centers are still soft.
  3. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes
