For the Chicken
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts Tender cuts of chicken perfect for grilling.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper To taste.
For Assembly
  • 4 pieces pita breads Soft and warm for holding ingredients.
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes Fresh for added crunch.
  • 1 piece cucumber, diced Adds freshness.
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt Base for the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped Enhances flavor in the sauce.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced For added flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat the chicken breasts with the spice mixture.
Cooking
  1. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, until cooked through.
  2. While the chicken is cooking, mix the Greek yogurt, minced garlic, dill, and crumbled feta in a small bowl to make the sauce.
Assembly
  1. Once the chicken is done, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  2. Warm the pita bread on the grill for about 1 minute on each side.
  3. Assemble the pitas by placing chicken slices, diced tomatoes, cucumber, and garlic dill feta sauce inside the warm pitas.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For even more flavor, consider marinating the chicken for a few hours or overnight before grilling. Cook chicken until it’s just done; overcooking can lead to dry chicken.
