Ingredients

For the Chicken Marinade
  • 4 pieces Chicken breasts Boneless, skinless preferred
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice Freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup Fresh herbs Chopped parsley, oregano, thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper Black pepper to taste
For the Lemon Yogurt Sauce
  • 1 cup Yogurt Greek or plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice Additional for the sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh herbs Additional chopped herbs for sauce

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped herbs, salt, and pepper.
  3. Marinate the chicken in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Grill or bake the chicken until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C), about 6-7 minutes per side.
  2. Meanwhile, mix yogurt with some lemon juice and additional herbs to create the lemon yogurt sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve the chicken with the lemon yogurt sauce, accompanied by rice, roasted vegetables, or a salad.

Notes

For best flavor, marinate the chicken overnight. Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked through without drying out. If using dried herbs, use less than fresh herbs due to their concentrated flavor.
