Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix the flour, matcha powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a larger bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- If using, fold in the white chocolate chips for extra sweetness.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
To keep your cookies fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week. For longer storage, freeze them for up to three months.
