For the Chicken Patties
  • 1 pound Ground Chicken The star ingredient that keeps these burgers juicy and delicious.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Enhances the overall flavor profile.
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Adds subtle warmth.
  • 1/4 cup Pure Maple Syrup Infuses sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard Offers a tangy kick.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Introduces savory warmth.
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Lends a mild smokiness.
For the Assembly
  • 4 slices Swiss Cheese Melts to creamy perfection.
  • 1 cup Sauerkraut Drained and pressed to avoid sogginess.
  • 1 cup Crispy Fried Onions Delivers a delightful crunch.
  • 4 pieces Pretzel Buns Provide a chewy base for the burger.

Method

Burger Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken with salt, black pepper, pure maple syrup, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and paprika. Mix until well blended.
  2. Shape the mixture into four equal patties, making sure they're not too thick to ensure even cooking.
  3. Preheat a skillet over medium heat or prepare a grill. Cook the patties for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and golden brown.
  4. During the last few minutes of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to help it melt.
  5. Remove the patties from the heat and prepare your pretzel buns.
  6. Assemble your Maple Mustard Chicken Burgers by layering sauerkraut and crispy fried onions on top of each cheese-topped patty on a pretzel bun.

Notes

Leftover burgers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For reheating, use a microwave or place them back on the grill for added crispiness.
