Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough
  • 1 cup butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature.
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour Use spooned and leveled flour for accuracy.
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda Ensure it's fresh.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Add-ins
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup holiday M&Ms
  • 1 cup pretzels, crushed
  • 1 cup toffee bits

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips, holiday M&Ms, crushed pretzels, and toffee bits.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  2. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them wrapped tightly for up to three months.
