Cooking
- Heat the olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Drain any excess fat from the pan, leaving about one tablespoon for flavor.
- Add the diced onions to the beef and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until they are soft and translucent.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and onion powder.
- Pour the beef broth into the pan. Cover with a lid and let it steam for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the broccoli reaches desired tenderness.
- Remove the lid and stir everything together.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Cover for another minute until the cheese is completely melted and bubbly.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
To store leftovers, place cooled contents in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze in a freezer-safe container for about a month. Reheat thoroughly before serving.
