Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, caramelized onions, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a baking dish.
- Top with additional thinly sliced onions and cheese.
Cooking
- Bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
- Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For added flavor, don't skip the caramelization of onions. You can also substitute with ground turkey for a lighter version.
