Ingredients
  

Pasta and Chicken
  • 2 cups macaroni pasta
  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
Sauce and Seasoning
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk Use whole milk for a creamier texture.
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp black pepper Add red pepper flakes for extra heat if desired.
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs Optional, for topping.
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder Optional, for extra flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in milk, honey, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder; bring to a simmer.
Combining
  1. Add cooked macaroni and shredded cheese to the skillet, stirring until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
  2. If desired, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top and broil for 2-3 minutes until golden.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Add a splash of milk when reheating to maintain creaminess.
