Preparation
- Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season both sides evenly with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat.
Cooking
- Place the chicken thighs in the skillet. Sear for about 5 to 7 minutes per side until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- Reduce the heat to medium. Move the chicken to the sides of the pan and add the minced garlic to the center. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the honey, chicken broth, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir to combine.
- Let the sauce simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, basting the chicken with the sauce frequently.
- Remove the pan from heat once the sauce has thickened and the chicken is fully coated.
Serving
- Garnish with fresh parsley or sesame seeds if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm them in a skillet over medium heat.
