  • 2 cups heavy cream Use high-quality heavy cream for best results.
  • 1 cup whole milk Whole milk enhances creaminess.
  • 3/4 cup sugar Adjust sweetness to your preference.
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract Can substitute with vanilla extract if desired.
Mix-ins
  • 1/2 cup chopped pistachios Toast for additional flavor.

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, and almond extract until well combined.
  2. Pour the mixture into your ice cream maker and churn it for about 20 minutes until it thickens.
  3. Gradually add in the chopped pistachios and churn for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze it for at least 4 hours to firm up.

Notes

For best results, chill your mixing bowl and ice cream maker bowl before use. Allow enough time for the ice cream to firm up after churning, and enjoy within the first week for optimal freshness.
