Ingredients

Fresh Peaches
  • 2 pounds fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped Select ripe peaches for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup white sugar To mix with the peaches.
Cream Base
  • 1 pint half-and-half cream For a rich and creamy texture.
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 1 can evaporated milk (12 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whole milk (or as needed) Add to fill the container to the fill line.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by dicing the peaches and mixing them with sugar in a bowl. Allow the mixture to sit for about 30 minutes.
  2. In a separate large bowl, combine the half-and-half, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract. Stir until well blended.
Mixing
  1. Gently stir in the peach and sugar mixture into the milk mixture until everything is combined.
Freezing
  1. Pour the final mixture into your ice cream freezer container. Add enough whole milk to fill the container to the fill line.
  2. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to freeze the ice cream. For quicker hardening, cool the container beforehand.

Notes

Store in an airtight container to prevent ice crystals. Best enjoyed within a week or two, but may last up to a month in the freezer. Let sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before scooping.
