Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 24 cookies Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
Filling
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure fully softened for a smooth mixture.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar Can reduce for a less sweet filling.
  • 1 cup lemon pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk May adjust slightly for thickness.
  • 1 cup whipped cream or cool whip Cool whip is a great alternative.
  • 1 large lemon, zest Add more for stronger flavor.
  • to taste fresh lemon juice Use fresh for better flavor.
  • as needed Additional Oreo crumbs for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the lemon pudding mix and milk until thickened. Fold in whipped cream or cool whip.
  5. Combine the lemon mixture with the cream cheese mixture. Add lemon zest and fresh lemon juice to taste. Mix well.
  6. Spread the lemon cream mixture evenly over the Oreo crust.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  8. Before serving, sprinkle additional Oreo crumbs on top. Cut into bars and enjoy!

Notes

These dessert bars are versatile and can be served for various occasions. For a pop of color, add fresh lemon slices or mint leaves on top.
