Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat.
- Lightly dust a baking sheet or pizza peel with cornmeal to prevent sticking.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface until it reaches a 12-inch circle.
- Transfer the rolled dough to your prepared baking sheet or peel.
Layering the Toppings
- Spread an even layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving about half an inch around the edges for the crust.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Evenly distribute the cooked chicken, pineapple chunks, and sliced red onions across the pizza.
- Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese and bacon bits if using.
Baking and Serving
- Slide the pizza into the hot oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro, slice into wedges, and serve immediately.
Notes
For additional flavor, season the chicken with garlic powder and salt before adding. For variations, consider adding jalapeños or using different cheeses.
