- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until well combined.
- Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
- Drop tablespoons of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
- Let them cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, ensure your butter is melted but not boiling. Avoid overmixing the wet and dry ingredients to keep the cookies soft and chewy.
