Preparation
- Pat the steak cubes dry with a paper towel.
- In a medium bowl, toss the steak cubes with salt, pepper, and dried oregano until evenly coated.
Cooking
- Place a large cast-iron skillet or heavy frying pan over high heat. Add olive oil and wait until shimmering.
- Add the steak bites to the pan in a single layer. Cook in two batches if necessary.
- Let the steak sear undisturbed for about 2 minutes to develop a dark brown crust.
- Flip the pieces and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until browned on all sides.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, add butter and minced garlic to the pan.
- Stir steak bites constantly for about 1 minute so that garlic becomes fragrant and the butter coats each piece. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
- Remove the pan from the heat immediately, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
These Garlic Butter Steak Bites make an excellent appetizer or serve them over mashed potatoes or rice for a meal. Enjoy with salad or roasted vegetables. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
