Ingredients

For the chicken
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 tablespoons butter divided
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning or your preferred herbs
For the wraps
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)
Optional toppings
  • sour cream
  • avocado
  • salsa

Method

Preparation
  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until fully cooked and no longer pink in the center. Remove from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes.
  2. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Cut the cooked chicken into thin strips and return it to the skillet with the garlic butter. Toss to coat the chicken in the flavorful butter mixture.
Assembling the Wraps
  1. Lay a tortilla flat and layer with chicken, lettuce, diced tomato, and cheese. Add any optional toppings if desired.
  2. Fold in the sides and roll the tortilla tightly. Repeat for the remaining tortillas.
Serving
  1. Cut the wraps in half if desired and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in garlic and herbs for a couple of hours before cooking. Don’t rush the sautéing steps; cooking garlic slowly will enhance its flavor without burning it. Feel free to mix in other veggies like bell peppers or onions for added color and nutrition.
