  • 4 pieces Fish fillets (e.g., cod, tilapia)
  • 1 packet Taco seasoning For marinating the fish
For the Toppings
  • 1 medium Avocado Sliced
  • 1 cup Pico de gallo Freshly made or store-bought
  • 1 medium Lime For squeezing over the bowls
  • 1/2 cup Sauce of choice (e.g., crema, salsa)
  • 2 cups Rice or quinoa Optional base
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro Chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Cooking the Fish
  1. Season the fish fillets with taco seasoning and cook them in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked.
Preparing the Toppings
  1. While the fish is cooking, prepare the pico de gallo and slice the avocado.
Assembling the Bowls
  1. Once the fish is done, assemble the bowls by adding a base of rice or quinoa, then layer the cooked fish, sliced avocado, and pico de gallo.
  2. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top and drizzle with your favorite sauce.
  3. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For the best flavor, let the fish marinate in taco seasoning for at least 30 minutes before cooking. If desired, add diced jalapeƱos to your pico de gallo for extra heat. Serve with chilled beverages for an enjoyable meal.
