Preparation
- Bake the cake according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
- Crumble the cake into a large bowl and mix in the frosting until well combined.
- Roll the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Insert lollipop sticks into the center of each cake ball.
- Freeze the cake pops for about 30 minutes to firm them up.
Coating and Decorating
- Melt the candy coating according to package instructions.
- Dip each cake pop into the melted coating, allowing excess to drip off.
- Decorate with sprinkles or other decorations while the coating is still wet.
- Place the cake pops upright in a stand or in a piece of Styrofoam to allow them to set.
- Once set, enjoy your festive cake pops!
Notes
To store, keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or refrigerate for about 2 weeks. For longer storage, place in the freezer for up to 2 months.
