Ingredients
  

For the meatballs
  • 1 pound ground meat (beef or chicken)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 large egg
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
For the scallion sauce
  • 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2-3 scallions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, hoisin sauce, garlic, ginger, egg, salt, and pepper.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs and place them on a baking sheet.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through.
Scallion Sauce Preparation
  1. In a separate bowl, mix sour cream, scallions, and hoisin sauce to make the scallion sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve the meatballs topped with the scallion sauce alongside rice, noodles, or vegetables.

Notes

Leftover meatballs can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. They can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
